The Mayan numerals are arranged vertically to form a number. Let's consider the following examples:
What are their values?
1. 4 × 202 + 12 × 201 + 9 × 1 = 1849
2. 6 × 203 + 0 × 202 + 0 × 201 + 3 × 1 = 48003
2. 17 × 202 + 6 × 201 + 7 × 1 = 6927
Addition and subtraction in the Mayan number system are pretty much similar to those in decimal number system i.e., using the method of carrying/borrowing digit.
