Dear Educators and Parents,
Welcome to the official website of the Annual Hotung Lecture (AHL) 2021.
The topic for this year is “Self-Regulated Learning of Gifted Learners”. There will be a series of activities during 7 to 9 January 2021, including the Teacher Workshop “How to Support Gifted Students in Becoming Self-Regulated Learners: A Teacher’s Guide”, the Parent Workshop “How to Support Gifted Students in Becoming Self-Regulated Learners: A Parent’s Guide” and the AHL “Self-Regulated Learning Skills for Gifted Students in the Talent-Development Process”. We are glad to invite Professor Albert Ziegler, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany to share with us his experience on nurturing gifted learners.
The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) commits to promote the academic and affective development of gifted students so that their potential could be fully unleashed. Besides supporting gifted students, the HKAGE also actively provides relevant resources to educators and parents of the gifted to enhance their understanding on various strategies for nurturing gifted students and for promoting their all-round development.
Being one of the signature events of the HKAGE, the AHL provides a platform for school leaders, teachers, education professionals and parents to explore together and exchange their views on gifted education. A renowned scholar or education expert is invited to share his/her insights and supporting strategies for gifted students each year. The event benefits different stakeholders in gifted education. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible due to limited seats.
We sincerely look forward to your support and participation.
Professor NG Tai Kai
