What Services do we Offer?
HKAGE is organized according to four frontline divisions, each of which recognizes a key stakeholder for service delivery.

Student Programs and Services Division

We organise face-to-face programs for students aged 10-18 years. Each program aims to stimulate and challenge students in the learning process, often in areas not related to the conventional school curriculum.

So far we are running programs in Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Social Development and Leadership. Many of these are delivered in collaboration with local universities.

Teacher Professional Development Division

Training teachers to provide the necessary and appropriate learning opportunities in the every-day classroom lies at the heart of the work of this division.

A variety of courses are available ranging from introductions to GE, thematic courses on particular aspects of GE, to advanced programs for those who wish to specialize.

Parent Division

Parents are one of the main influences on the development of a gifted child yet many feel daunted at the prospect and some feel they lack the knowledge and skills needed to do this effectively.

We can support parents through the Consultation Centre (see below) and through a range of support sessions with other parents in seminars and workshops

Research Division

The Academy wants to ensure that best practice is based on sound evidence.

To this end we will be engaging in relevant research or commissioning research to ensure that Hong Kong is always informed about best practice on a wide variety of Gifted Education  issues.

Consultation Centre

Our Consultation Centre facilities are available to all who have questions about any aspect of Gifted Education. It doesn’t matter who you are – parent, teacher or gifted student.

We have trained Education Advisors and Education Psychologists to help guide and support you.
