SENG Webinar (Web Seminar) “Preparing Gifted Children for College … Or Preparing Them for Life?” by Dr. Dr. James Webb We, as parents and educators of gifted children, all recognize the importance of academic achievement. However, the social emotional development of our children deserves some attention and resources in order to develop children’s full potential. How do we allocate our time and resources to achieve a balanced cultivation of intellectual abilities and other non-traditional aspects such as creativity and courage? What is appropriate for us to expect and demand in academic achievement? The presentation will discuss how we keep alive and foster the passion for learning and personal development even when it is not in traditional academic areas.
Dr. James Webb, the presenter of the Webinar, is a renowned psychologist in the field of gifted education and the founder of SENG. He is also the author of several award-winning books, including A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children, and Misdiagnosis and Dual Diagnoses of Gifted Children and Adults.

Webinar (Web Seminar) “Change Your Story, Change Your Life” by Stephanie Tolan
For generations parents have been dealing with the education system, trying to change the educational climate in order to suit the special needs of their gifted children but with least success. This presentation takes a very different approach, providing families with Story Principle--a way to empower themselves and their children. When children and parents see themselves as the heroes of their own story they can begin immediately to change that story for the better.
The speaker Stephanie Tolan is an author of more than two dozens of novels for children and youth, including the book Guiding the Gifted Child. Her focus is on finding ways to help gifted children live a balanced and fulfilled life.
